Pitchcroft has seen a host of events in those 300 years, including bare knuckle boxing in 1824, a record 229 runners on an 8 race card in January 1965 and HRH The Princess Royal riding her own horse Cnoc Na Cuille to victory, before the racecourse became the home of summer jumps racing as it is known today.

Today, Worcester Racecourse hosts around 20 National Hunt fixtures annually from April - October, with highlights including Ladies Day in June, Family Fun Days and The Pershore Plum Festival in August. When we are not racing we are open all year round for conferences, events, parties and much more.

Worcester Racecourse is part of Arena Racing Company (ARC), the largest racecourse group in the UK created by a merger between Northern Racing and Arena Leisure Plc.

ARC operate 16 racecourses, across a mix of flat, jump and all-weather tracks, hosting 39% of the UK’s annual horseracing fixtures. These include some of the biggest days in the racing calendar, like the Ladbrokes St Lege  Festival, All-Weather Championships Finals Day, Coral Welsh National, Betfred Midlands Grand National, John Smith’s Northumberland Plate and the National Spirit Hurdle.
